Dyrssen award 2020

Master theses in the marine field that have been approved between July 1st 2019 and June 30th 2020 are eligible for nomination for the 2020 Dyrssen award. The project must be within a marine science discipline and examined at a Swedish university. The two best theses receive a cash prize and are invited to speak at the Marine Science Conference. Cash prizes are 10.000 SEK for first prize and 5.000 SEK for second prize.

We accept nominations for the 2020 Dyrssen award until August 21st. For information about nominations to the Dyrssen award please contact dyrssen(at)shf.se.

Marine Science Conference 2020 and the yearly meeting

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, the Swedish Society for Marine Sciences (SHF) board has decided to cancel this year’s conference. This is of course unfortunate, but we are looking forward to the conference 2021.

The yearly meeting is usually held in connection to the conference, but this year it will be held via link. There will be more information in connection with the notice of the annual meeting . Still, we hope both new and old members will support the society by becoming a member. The membership fee can be paid via Swish or Bankgiro.
