Every year we organise the Swedish Marine Research Days. This year, we will for the first time since 2010 organise our conference again together with our Norwegian and Finnish colleagues, and hence the name Nordic Marine Science Meeting. This conference is organised together with the Norwegian Association of marine scientists, the Stockholm University Baltic Sea Research Centre, and the Marine Science Network at Stockholm University with financial support from the strategic research areas EcoChange, the Bolin Centre for Climate Research, and the Department of geological sciences at Stockholm University, SMHI, and the Swedish Institute for the marine environment HAV. The purpose of our meeting is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, public servants, and consultants within the different marine disciplines oceanography, marine geology, marine chemistry, biology, ecology, and related disciplines in the engineering and human sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone who works in the Nordic countries within marine research or monitoring, or otherwise takes particular interest in questions concerning our common sea areas and marine environmental issues, is welcome to take part in this conference. Participants are welcome to present their work in the form of an oral presentation or poster, and the organising committee also invites speakers of current interests to the conference. In a unique way, the Nordic marine Science conference presents a selection of the latest research and current projects that go on in our countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Swedish Society for Marine Sciences (SHF), is a non-profit association. Since the start in 1967, SHF has worked to promote cooperation between Swedish institutions and people who work on issues related to the marine environment and marine sciences. As part of this work, we organize the Marine Research Days every year; a conference whose main purpose is to promote the dissemination of Swedish research at national and international level. Through the Marine Research Days, we offer a forum with strong continuity but also in a format that promotes collaboration between researchers and private organizations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Membership<\/p>\n\n\n\n
