Honorary chair

Honorary chairs of the Swedish Society for Marine Sciences are appointed by the members of the society during the annual meetings. With the appointment the society expresses their appreciation for their significant engagement in promoting the society's long-term development. The honorary chairs have through their work made a significant impact to represent the society and its values to deserve special recognition. An honorary chair can take on appointments such as the chairing of the annual meeting of the society and assists in the selection of the Dyrssen awards.
